NVCA announces Chris Schoenleb to lead ministry and academic programs

The North Valley Christian Academy Board of Trustees recently named Chris Schoenleb as its new head of school. He’ll be responsible for leading the Christian ministry and academic programs for NVCA, a private Christian prekindergarten through 12th grade school located just south of Tramonto.


Chris recently served as executive director of Faith Lutheran High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Kenyon College and holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee, International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Secondary Education from National Louis University, and a Colloquy from Concordia University’s Ministry Program.


An Army veteran and former advertising executive with 15 years of teaching experience, Chris’s wife and son will be joining him in Phoenix. NVCA Board Chairman Fred Laughlin says, “We are blessed to have Chris join NVCA. He is a proven innovative educator who encourages the development of critical thinking skills:’ Fred adds, “Chris is particularly skilled in establishing a school culture where students gain independence by demonstrating personal responsibility:’


In joining NVCA, Chris says, “Every student has God-given gifts and I am honored He has called me to work with young people at NVCA to prepare them to use those gifts for His kingdom. I am excited to lead NVCA in providing a strong academic education while developing in its students a thoughtful and durable set of social and emotional skills.”
