Bringing Local ‘Business Forward’: Anthem’s Chamber hosting career fair

By Emily Ditomasso

The Anthem Area Chamber of Commerce will host its first career fair, Business Forward Expo ’19, to give community members the chance to work with the diverse collection of local businesses.

The fair is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Arizona Plaza, also known as ACE Hardware Plaza. Business vendor booths start at $50 and are limited to Anthem Area Chamber of Commerce members only. Call Maxwell at 623-322-9127 for more information.

“We want to provide a place for local businesses to find and hire people with talent,” says Heather Maxwell, executive director of Anthem’s Chamber.

Sometimes, she says, it’s hard for businesses and potential employees to connect.

Job seekers will be able to apply for positions in the corporate, health, insurance and gardening fields. Along with local businesses, bigger names such as State Farm, Liberty Mutual and HonorHealth will be on site. Besides job opportunities, businesses will be offering discounts and promotions.

Food will be aplenty, with Amped Coffee Company, Filiberto’s Mexican Food, Poke Shack and Sam’s Frozen Yogurt offering treats.

“We have a lot of growth in this community right now,” Maxwell says. “This was the perfect time to launch this event.”
